Supporting the UK's Digital Health Mission
Aligning preventive, explainable, and patient-centred AI with the UK's priorities for digital transformation and sustainable healthcare.
Overview
This work aligns with the UK's digital health strategy by supporting prevention, patient self-management, and responsible use of AI. Through SugarCare, the focus is on helping individuals better understand their health while contributing to more proactive and sustainable healthcare delivery.
?The Challenge
The NHS is under growing pressure from long-term conditions such as diabetes. Many digital tools still focus on reactive tracking, while patients often lack clear, personalised support to manage their condition and maintain a balanced lifestyle. AI adoption in healthcare also depends on transparency, trust, and clinical relevance areas where many current solutions still fall short.
✓Our Solution
Through Helixa AI and SugarCare, this work contributes by developing AI-driven tools that combine predictive insights, explainability, and user-centred design. The aim is to support earlier risk awareness, improve daily decision-making, and enable more personalised and preventive care.
